My grandfather was born somewhere on the Frio in a place called Burnt Hollow, a location long forgotten! I have been going to the Frio every summer for 68 years. I learned to swim there like George Strait, and my 3 boys did too. One even cut his first tooth on a river rock! As we get close to the Frio, I can smell that Frio smell, and feel like I’ve come home again. Can’t wait to see you in June...”
